The traffic remained suspended for the whole day with long queues of vehicles waiting for its opening on the both sides of the river. Update: The vehicular traffic on the road was thrown open at 4pm. 06 June 2024: The Manali-Leh highway has opened to all kinds of vehicles (cars, jeep, bikes, trucks etc.) from both sides in a fixed time frame. There is no day wise restriction, but traffic from Manali towards Leh will be allowed from Darcha check post from 7am to 11am while traffic from Leh towards Manali will be allowed from Sarchu check post from 2pm to 5pm. However, the traffic movement will completely depend on weather conditions. 02 June 2024: The Manali-Leh highway has now been opened to two wheelers (bikes) as well. The traffic from Manali side (from Darcha check post in Lahaul) towards Leh will be allowed from 7 AM to 12 PM on even day (2 June, 4 June, 6 June) and from Leh towards Manali will be allowed on odd days (3 June, 5 June, 7 June etc). 31 May 2024: The same traffic pattern is being followed by Lahaul-Spiti police by allowing only one way traffic on alternate days. As 31 May is the day for Manali/Darcha to Sarchu/Leh traffic, the traffic from Leh side will be allowed to come towards Manali on 1st June. So, from 1 June onwards, traffic from Leh towards Manali will be allowed. This way, traffic from Leh towards Manali on odd days (1, 3, 5 June and so on) and Manali towards Leh on even
