The Pangong lake tour package starts from Leh airport.
As you cannot go directly to Pangong Tso due to its high altitude, cold weather and distance from Leh city. After proper acclimatisation in Leh along with sightseeing of the local places in Leh city and Sham valley, you are all set for adventurous journey to Pangong lake.
The trip to Pangong lake starts early in the morning with multiple stoppages for tea/cold drinks, meals, snacks and photoshoots. Also, if you are lucky, you will see snow or even snowfall at Changla pass.
While returning back from Pangong lake, you can visit some of the famous monasteries.

Tourists used to visit Leh Ladakh and Pangong lake even before this movie but the tourist footfall witnessed a sudden surge after the film that showcased crystal clear blue waters of the lake with snow-clad high mountain peaks in the backdrop.

Itinerary for Pangong Lake Tour Package
Day 01: Arrival in Leh
Meal: breakfast
Our driver will pick you up from Leh Airport and transfer you to the hotel. After check in process, you are advised to take complete rest. Acclimatisation is mandatory after reaching high altitude Leh Ladakh to avoid altitude sickness or other altitude related complications. If feeling good, you can stroll the local area in the evening.
Day 02: Sham valley tour
Meal: breakfast and dinner
Finish your breakfast, and leave for Sham valley excursion covering India Army’s Hall of Fame, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill & Sangam View where Indus & Zanskar river meet (confluence). Later come back to Leh and visit Leh palace and enjoy a sunset at Shanti Stupa. Dinner and Night stay at hotel in Leh.
Day 03: Leh – Pangong Lake
Meal: breakfast and dinner
Today after breakfast, proceed to the famous Pangong Lake via mighty Changla Pass (17500ft), Durbuk and Tangste villages. Pangong Lake is in the east to the Leh in the Changthang region of Ladakh and perhaps one of the most amazing lakes in Asia which changes its color 4 – 5 times a day. At evening enjoy the breathtaking view of Pangong Lake during sunset. One third of the lake lies in Ladakh (India) while other part of the lake is in Tibet (China). The Pangong lake came to prominence after shooting of Bollywood movie 3 Idiots. After that, many other shooting units started heading to Pangong. Enjoy walking along the shores of the lake. Overnight at the Camp or cottage near Pangong Lake.
Day 04: Pangong Lake – Leh
Meal: breakfast and dinner
Today after breakfast, check out from the Camp/cottage and we shall return back to Leh. On the way visit Hemis monastery, Thiksey monastery, Shey Palace and monastery and Rancho School (3 Idiot School). Evening free for leisure & own activities. Overnight at the Hotel in Leh.
Day 05: Depart Leh
Meal: breakfast
After Breakfast, check out from the Hotel & you would be transferred to Leh Airport to board your flight back home. Your memorable Pangong lake tour package in Ladakh, the land of Buddha, concludes here.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR TOURISTS VISITING LADAKH
Ladakh is a very safe, tourist-friendly and cheering place, but still, you need to take care of some preparations which can make your tour even better and memorable:
– Only post-paid mobile phones work in Leh-Ladakh, preferably BSNL, Airtel and Jio. As phones may not work in many places, keep your family members informed well in advance not to worry if they fail to contact you.
– You would hardly find any cellular network in most of the areas in Leh. BSNL works better here, however, you would find Airtel and Jio signals also at some places (Leh, Hunder and Diskit).
– Don’t expect high-speed internet in Ladakh.
– Keep ready a pair of woollen (not heavy) with you as temperature may dip as low as 5 degrees any time even during summer months.
– Carry good Sun Screen lotion, sunglasses (goggles), cap with you to avoid sunburn as sun rays are direct and can burn your skin.
– Don’t forget to carry photo id with you. Driving License, Passport, Voter Cards, and Aadhaar are valid photo IDs.
– While travelling on the mountains, keep drinking water and eating healthy food and fruits to avoid high altitude sickness and dizziness due to curvy roads, low air pressure and dry air.
– Carry headache, stomachache, anti-vomiting tablets with you.
– You may consume diamox at least 7-8 hours before arrival at Leh (preferably before falling asleep) and may also take before boarding plane to Leh. The medicine is optional. Having rest and drinking enough water for some hours after reaching Leh is advised.
– Leh has some ATM machines where you can withdraw cash. These machines witness long queues of customers during peak season and run out of cash many times. Non-connectivity is another issue. So carrying enough cash is advisable.
– Please respect the Buddhist and Muslim culture of Ladakh. People of all communities here believe in brotherhood and harmony and respects the tourists. The residents expect the same from the tourists.
